Doors You Can't Buy Off a Shelf — Boise, Idaho
Custom Doors by 3D Cabinetry & Custom Renovations, a two-person custom cabinet shop in Boise, Idaho.
A front door is the first thing anyone touches on your house. We build entry and interior doors by hand in our Boise shop — herringbone panels, solid hardwoods, French and pocket configurations — sized to your actual opening, not the nearest stock dimension.
What we build
- Solid wood entry doors — single and double configurations
- Statement panel designs: herringbone, chevron, and flat panel
- Interior passage and barn-style doors
- French doors and glass-lite designs
- Pocket door systems for tight floor plans
Built for Idaho weather
Boise swings from freezing winters to 100-degree summers, and doors move with those swings. We build with proper joinery, stable wood selection, and finishes designed for exterior exposure, then hang and adjust each door so it closes the way a good door should — with one finger and a solid, quiet latch.
Odd-sized openings in older homes are a specialty. Rather than reframing your wall to fit a stock door, we build the door to fit the wall.
Frequently Asked Questions — Custom Doors
Can you replace just the door without replacing the frame?
Often, yes — if your existing jamb is sound and square, we can build a slab to fit it. Where the frame has issues, we'll show you what we found and price both options honestly.
What wood species do you recommend for an entry door?
White oak and mahogany-class hardwoods are the workhorses for exterior doors — stable, rot-resistant, and beautiful. We'll recommend a species based on your sun exposure, overhang, and the look you want, and we finish for UV and moisture protection.
Do you install hardware and locksets?
Yes. We mortise and fit hinges, locksets, deadbolts, and multi-point hardware as part of the installation, so the door leaves our hands working perfectly.
