Custom Cabinetry, Built in Boise — Boise, Idaho
Custom Cabinetry by 3D Cabinetry & Custom Renovations, a two-person custom cabinet shop in Boise, Idaho.
Every cabinet we deliver starts as raw sheet goods and lumber in our Boise shop. We cut, assemble, finish, and install it ourselves — built to the exact dimensions of your space, in the material and finish you actually want, not the closest match a warehouse happens to stock.
What we build
Full kitchen cabinet sets are the heart of what we do — uppers, lowers, islands, pantry towers, fridge surrounds, and appliance panels, all built as one coordinated system. But custom cabinetry goes well beyond the kitchen: bar and beverage centers, butler's pantries, office cabinetry, laundry room storage, and one-off pieces that solve a specific problem in your home.
- Full kitchen cabinet sets — uppers, lowers, islands, and tall units
- Pantry towers, roll-out trays, and pull-out storage systems
- Fridge surrounds, appliance garages, and panel-ready integration
- Corner solutions — lazy susans, blind-corner pull-outs
- Bar areas, coffee stations, and butler's pantries
- Replacement doors and drawer fronts for structurally sound existing boxes
Materials and construction
We build cabinet boxes from plywood as our standard recommendation — it holds screws better, resists moisture, and outlasts particleboard by decades. Doors and drawer fronts come in painted, stained, or natural finishes across hardwoods like maple, oak, walnut, and alder. Drawer boxes are built in-house, and we spec soft-close hardware as the default, not an upgrade.
Because we cut parts on our own CNC router, dimensions are repeatable to a fraction of a millimeter. That precision is what makes an inset door sit flush, a long run of cabinets read as one continuous piece, and fillers nearly disappear.
Why custom beats big-box
Stock cabinets come in 3-inch width increments and standard depths, which means fillers, wasted space, and compromises in almost every real kitchen. Custom boxes are built to your walls — including the out-of-square, out-of-plumb walls common in older Boise housing stock. You choose the material, the finish, the hardware, and the interior fittings, and the result fits like the house was built around it.
Frequently Asked Questions — Custom Cabinetry
How much does custom cabinetry cost in Boise?
Most full-kitchen custom cabinet projects we build fall in the same range as our kitchen remodel work: roughly $8,000 on the smaller end up to $60,000+ for large kitchens with premium materials and finishes. The biggest cost drivers are linear footage, box material, door style, and finish. Our free online estimator gives you a rough range in about 5 minutes.
Do you build the cabinets yourselves or order them?
We build them ourselves in our Boise shop — cutting, assembly, finishing, and installation are all done by the two of us. Nothing is drop-shipped from a factory.
Can you match existing cabinetry in my home?
In most cases, yes. We can match door profiles, wood species, and finishes closely enough to extend an existing kitchen or add a piece that reads as original. We'll be honest with you at the consultation if an exact finish match isn't achievable on aged or discontinued finishes.
How long does a custom cabinet order take?
Shop lead time depends on our current schedule and material availability — typically several weeks from design approval to installation. We give you a committed timeline in your proposal, and we communicate proactively if anything shifts.
