3D Cabinetry & Custom Renovations is a Boise-based commercial casework, architectural millwork and residential cabinetry company led by Josh Corson and Jason Soubliere, built on the belief that exceptional work and honest dealing aren't trade-offs — they're the same thing.
Direct owner oversight keeps scope, quality and communication connected. We plan shop, finishing, delivery and installation resources around each project, with flexible capacity and qualified partners as requirements grow.

Stock cabinets are built to standard sizes in factories and sit in warehouses until sold. Custom cabinets are built to the exact dimensions of your kitchen, with your chosen materials, finishes, and hardware. You get a precise fit, better materials, significantly longer lifespan, and a look that's genuinely yours.
What is your minimum residential project size?
Our projects typically start at $8,000. For smaller budgets, we're happy to refer you to Noah Kramer at Bird Dog Property Maintenance & Remodel — a trusted local contractor who does excellent work at smaller project scales.
How long does a kitchen remodel take?
A cabinet refresh typically takes 1–2 weeks. A full kitchen remodel with new cabinetry, counters, and flooring generally runs 4–8 weeks depending on scope and material lead times. We give you a detailed timeline in your proposal before any work begins, and we communicate proactively if anything changes.
Will I be able to use my kitchen during the remodel?
During a full remodel, your kitchen will be out of commission for most of the project. We recommend setting up a temporary kitchen station — a microwave, mini fridge, and a hot plate go a long way. We stage the demo and install sequence to minimize disruption, and we always clean up at the end of each work day.
Do I need to hire a separate plumber or electrician?
For projects involving layout changes or appliance relocations, yes — licensed plumbers and electricians are required for that work. We coordinate directly with trusted local trades on your behalf so you're not juggling multiple contractors. Their costs are broken out clearly in your quote.
What happens if there are surprises once demo starts?
It happens — older homes especially can have hidden plumbing, wiring, or structural quirks. We document everything, explain the options clearly, and never proceed with additional work without your approval and a written change order. No surprise bills.
What's the difference between plywood and melamine cabinet boxes?
Melamine is our standard recommendation for most kitchen cabinet boxes because it gives you a hard, sealed, scratch-resistant interior that is easy to clean and cost-effective. Plywood is stronger, lighter, and has better screw holding, so we still recommend it when appearance, premium construction, or unusually demanding use matters most. MDF is useful for smooth painted doors and panels, but it is not our first choice for cabinet box structure.
What cabinet door styles are most popular right now in Boise?
Shaker remains the most requested style across every design aesthetic — it works equally well in modern, transitional, and farmhouse kitchens. Flat panel (slab) doors are gaining ground fast in contemporary builds. We're also seeing strong interest in two-tone kitchens with shaker uppers and flat panel lowers.
Can I see samples of materials and finishes before committing?
Absolutely. We bring samples to your home consultation so you can see them in your actual lighting alongside your flooring, countertops, and wall colors. Colors and finishes look completely different under showroom lighting versus your kitchen — seeing them in place before you commit is something we insist on.
